Where it all started

In 2019 I decided that I would give up teaching and that Nick and I would finally have the time to put some love back into the farm.

We had several buildings on the farm that had really been neglected over the years and after a lot of 'are we sure we can do this?' conversations we came up with a plan.

We would renovate the buildings and then offer them to guests so they could come and experience the beautiful life that we get to live every day.

Phase One

The Stables.

One very wet winter we got going, along with our amazing builders and breathed life back into the stables, saving as much of the history as we could along the way.

Finally in December 2019, they were ready and we opened for our very first guests over Christmas.

Phase Two

The Silos

Completed in October of 2021, we have now added two amazing corn silos to the accomodation on offer here at The Stable Yard. Those same amazing builders returned once again and worked very hard to get everything complete for our grand opening last Autumn.

So far many guests have enjoyed the Silos and have told us that the space is unique, homey and perfect for a relaxing get away.

Phase Three

The HorseBox.

While the Silos were being completed, we aso invested in a beautifully converted horse lorry.

All hand made inside, the quirky decor creates a cosy, home from home feel.

We decided that the horsebox would be located further into the farm in its' own hay field with wildflowers and woodlands surrounding it.

We have since added an outside seating area with fire pit and BBQ as well as a wood fired out door tub, where you can relax and stargaze.
